Salvador Aulestia is born in Barcelona on 13th November 1915.

As painter he hold his first exhibition in 1936 in Spain.In 1948 he is one of the fisrt four abstract painters in Spain beside Mirņ, Jordi Mercader and Sandalinas.
From 1948 to 1963 he goes through various artistic stages: classic expression, pure abstraction, figurative abstraction, fauvism, post-cubism, expressionism, neo plasticism, surrealist abstraction.At the end of 1963 he publish the "apotelesmatica" art manifesto (it's an artistic experience that goes far the aesthetic, historical an sociological concept of the work of art, as it intend to communicate the spectator the mystery world that's behind ordinary reality), that refer, besides his painter activity, also to his works like sculptor, architet, musician and poet, and, even in his aesthetical variation, still going on.
He is one of the more representative painters of the "Cuarta Escuela de Barcelona" (Carlos Antonio Arean - Contemporary Art Commissioner of Madrid)
